There are distinct application processes and materials for hospital-based Specialty Clinics and Independent Health Facility Specialty Clinics:
- IHF applicants will submit an application through a Call for Applications authorized under the Independent Health Facilities Act, 1990
- Hospitals will submit a business case, as per the Public Hospitals Act, 1990.
The launch of this Call for Applications for IHFs was advertised in newspapers on February 19, 2014, per the requirement of the Independent Health Facilities Act, 1990. Specialty clinics that would like to operate as hospital satellites as a key part of the Strategy and details of the hospital application process are outlined on the Ministry website.
